Service Line (Mission) Trips

For Rising 8th Graders (current 7th graders)

CONGRATS TO ALL RISING 8TH-GRADE STUDENT-PARENT TEAMS WHO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO SERVE ON TRANSIT SERVICE LINE MISSION TRIPS THIS SUMMER TO LIGHTHOUSE FAMILY RETREAT AND MERIDA, MEXICO – IT WILL BE AMAZING!!

There are few things that grow self worth greater than stepping beyond our own circumstances and giving to others.

Transit is partnering again with globalX and the church in Merida, Mexico to send family pairs – one parent plus student – to serve together in summer missions. One of the few environments designed for parents and their students (rather than group centered), this is an exceptional opportunity for families to grow closer at an age when students are often pulling away. These 2012 trips are planned for June 2-9 and 9-16.

Registration is now closed. To be added to a waiting list, contact your campus HERE

We are also partnering with Lighthouse Family Retreats to create an opportunity for student-and-parent teams to serve families who have a child dealing with cancer. This week at the beach will include selfless serving – cooking, cleaning, worship and entertaining – and lots of fun, too!

In each of these mission opportunities, experiencing someone else’s stark reality and learning to selflessly serve can be transforming for everyone involved.
