This Week in Transit

Today is a very special day in Transit.  We have sent our old 8th graders off to high school and we have inherited a new crop of 6th graders.  In a single day they have grown up, matured, and gained new found wisdom…well, maybe not all of those.  Today is the day the average height of Transit drops a foot.  Today is the day that 1/3 of the audience has never sat through a talk, worship with a band, or sat in a small group room.  We have a long way to go to get the culture of Transit back to where we want it.  A key to that culture forming is the new 7th and 8th graders feeling the mantel of leadership that has been placed on them.  After all, someone has to set the tone in Transit and at their middle schools; it is time to become leaders.

Today’s bottom line: It is time to grow up.
